Deleted Scenes from the Music Video Torn

This is a link to the deleted scenes to the music video Torn. I have created these deleted scenes from the planning and filming process earlier on in the creative stages of the production. This shows the creative changes that we have been through within this process and highlights the reasons why we chose to loose these scenes.

Editing the Deleted Scenes

Outtakes and Bloopers Whilst Filming

This is a video showing our creative process and filming progress. Some of these shots could not be used due to the positions or under planning. For example, the biggest problem in St James' Park, London was the squirrels who attracted the attentions of tourists and they unintentionally walked into our shots (seen 0.27).

First Draft: Torn Music Video

This is a first version of the music video created by my group for the song Torn by Natalie Imbruglia. However, there are a few different things within this video that we believe that we can changed to make the video more effective.

The Problem of the Storyline

This was a problem we encountered when trying to make sure we have balance within our music video as we have the lip singer and the girlfriend character which have effectively created two different storylines.

However, to recifiy this dilema, we have decided that to make the narrative clear and create a sense of balance within the video we will have the lip syncer and the girlfriend character merging into each other. This will bring both storylines together and show that both the girlfriend and the lipsyncer are effectivley the same character. This idea is similar to that used at the music video to Read All About It by Professor Green and Emeli Sande (see below)

The Editing Process of Music Video

These collective shots show the editing process using iMovie to create our groups music video. With some scenes we have changed the colour of the shots using this software to create the affect of time changing.
