Digipak Front and Back Draft

 

This is the draft of my digipak, both the front and the back of this. I like the design for the front cover of the album. However, I do feel like the back looks plain and not professional. I will add an image from the photo shoot to this to add to authenticity. 

Start on my Digipak

 

This is my start of my digipak I have used a template (see below) to get the measurements for the digipak and then started to put squares onto this so I knew how to lay it out.

Start of Website

This is the start of my website for Natalie Imbruglia and has a main banner which will be repeated onto all of the different parts of the website such as the music, gallery and tour pages.

Images from Photoshoot

These are a collection of images that I took on my groups photoshoot for the digipak and website. These will be used within over these platform and show different views of the artists. Some of these photos were taken with the affect of black and white which was influenced by research into different digipaks and websites with their used of effects.

Photoshoot for Digipak and Website

We decided to do a photo-shoot for the website and digipak separately to those of the photo shoots to the filming for the music video. These images were taken in similar locations and similar mise-en-scenes to those used within our music video which adds to the continuity hoped to be achieved over all three platforms; the music video, the digipak and the website.

 

However, there were some images taken from the different days that we were filming the music video and some of these pictures will be used alongside the ones taken on this photoshoot.

Digipak: Research?

This is Lily Allen's digipak for her album It's Not You It's Me. It utilizes the colour of pink throughout which  mirrors the Pop music genre of her music. The digipak also uses two main images, one containing Lily Allen and the other just containing blocks of letters that spell her name.

Things to Take Away:

I will try and incorporate a particular colour within the digipak and use this to show the similarity between all of the three.

I like the way that this CD has been created with a message around the outside of the circle indicating the CD. I feel this is really clever and would like to use this idea for my CD.

Pop Websites: Research?

As, individually we are creating both a website and a digipak to accompany our music video to Torn by Natalie Imbruglia, I have conducted some research into Pop music artists websites in preparation to this.

I've researched many and have decided that the ones that will best fit our artists ones and have the best ideas are Carly Rae Jespsen's Offical website and Olly Murs' Official Website.

This website has a clear layout and format that can be incoroporated into my website with a clear way for our target audience to be able to access it and use the website. This website also uses varied images and poses of the main artist througout. These shots are mainly close ups and focus on the artist. However, there are some images used on the website, from the music videos or those used on digipak covers. I feel I can take some of these ideas

This website, even though focusing on a male Pop star had some ideas which I can incorporate into my website for a female pop star. This website shows continuity from his digipaks of the past and has created his own unique image.
